Job Description

A Hotel Sales Manager drives revenue by creating and executing sales strategies, building client relationships (corporate, travel agents, event planners), negotiating contracts, and collaborating with marketing/revenue teams to exceed financial goals for rooms, events, and other hotel services, focusing on market trends and guest satisfaction. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement sales plans to meet occupancy and revenue targets, identify new markets, and analyze competitor activity.
  • Client Management: Prospect, build, and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event organizers, travel agents, and group bookers.
  • Sales Execution: Conduct direct sales, tours, telemarketing, and attend industry events to generate leads and close deals.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate contracts for rooms, meetings, and catering, ensuring alignment with hotel objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work with Marketing, Revenue Management, and Operations teams to ensure consistent messaging and guest satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and analyze data to refine strategies.
  • Team Leadership: (For senior roles) Lead, motivate, and train sales associates.
