Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with company goals.
- Identify new market opportunities, target customers, and competitor positioning.
- Set clear targets and performance expectations for the sales team.
2. Team Leadership & Management
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of sales executives or representatives.
- Monitor daily activities and provide ongoing coaching to improve performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and support professional development.
3. Client Acquisition & Retention
- Manage key accounts and maintain long-term relationships with major clients.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms to close deals effectively.
- Resolve client issues and ensure consistent service delivery.
4. Sales Forecasting & Reporting
- Track sales metrics and analyze trends to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and competitor analysis to senior management.
- Manage CRM systems and ensure timely, accurate data entry by the sales team.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with marketing, product, logistics, and finance teams.
- Provide market feedback to improve products, pricing, and promotional efforts.
- Support product launches and promotional campaigns in the field.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field
- 3–7 years of experience in sales, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
Desirable:
- MBA in Sales/Marketing
- Industry-specific experience (e.g., Pharma, FMCG, SaaS, Manufacturing, etc.)
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot)
