Safety Supervisor (AIC)

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Supervision and Compliance:

• Monitor hot and cold insulation activities to ensure full compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Conduct detailed risk assessments and implement preventive measures for insulation works, particularly for in-situ cold insulation and activities performed at height.
• Ensure safe handling, application, and disposal of insulation materials.
• Enforce adherence to OSHA, ISO, NFPA, and other applicable safety standards.

Work at Height Hazard Management:

• Ensure workers strictly follow safety protocols during work-at-height operations.
• Inspect scaffolding, lifelines, harnesses, and fall protection equipment before starting work.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks, briefings, and hazard identifications related to height work.

Safety Training and Awareness:

• Train insulation workers on the proper use of PPE and safe work procedures.
• Conduct fire safety drills, chemical handling sessions, and emergency response training.
• Educate teams on health hazards associated with insulation materials and methods to prevent exposure.

Inspection and Incident Reporting:

• Perform routine safety inspections at the site to identify and rectify unsafe conditions or behaviors.
• Investigate all workplace incidents, injuries, or near misses and take corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain detailed records of safety audits, violations, incidents, and corrective actions.

Coordination and Documentation:

• Coordinate safety efforts with project managers, insulation engineers, and site supervisors to ensure seamless safety integration into project execution.
• Prepare and submit daily and weekly safety reports for internal and client review.
• Ensure proper placement of safety signage, barricades, emergency exits, and other visual safety aids on-site.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Qualification:

• 12th Pass with a Diploma in Industrial Safety (mandatory)

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in insulation safety supervision, covering hot and cold insulation, in-situ cold insulation casting, and work-at-height safety

Technical Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to work at height and insulation activities
• Familiarity with insulation materials and safe handling practices
• Well-versed in safety regulations and standards such as OSHA, ISO 45001, and NFPA
• Ability to assess safety risks and enforce mitigation plans during insulation projects

Soft Skills:

• Leadership ability to enforce safety compliance across teams
• Strong communication skills for conducting safety briefings and training sessions
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing on-site safety challenges

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, power plant, or industrial project environments
