Safe Agile, Scrum Master

Job Responsibilities:

• Facilitate and manage all Scrum ceremonies (e.g., Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective) for two or more agile teams.
• Foster strong agile fundamentals within the teams and ensure adherence to Scrum principles and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodologies.
• Drive alignment and effective communication between Product Owners (POs), engineering teams, and leadership to ensure shared understanding and common goals.
• Provide clear and concise communication to leadership regarding delivery status, impediments, and critical decisions required to support project execution, including securing necessary sign-offs.
• Lead and contribute to technical program discussions, including architectural approaches and system design, while effectively articulating solutions.
• Collaborate with technical teams to co-develop and document proposed solutions, ensuring clarity and completeness.
• Champion and instill best practices for documentation to ensure all designs meet requirements and facilitate ongoing maintenance and development of technical and regulatory solutions.
• Document technical debt and health features to be delivered in upcoming Program Increments (PIs) within JIRA, ensuring visibility and accountability.
• Finalize team commitments and sprint plans in collaboration with technical teams, ensuring realistic and achievable goals.
• Drive PI Readiness activities, assessing the completeness and readiness of features from a technical perspective for each Program Increment.
• Proactively identify, track, and manage project risks and issues, developing effective mitigation and contingency plans.
• Identify and manage cross-team dependencies, facilitating communication and coordination to ensure smooth progress.
• Define and track key project milestones and manage the overall release plan.
• Develop a solid understanding of the underlying technology stack to effectively plan work, guide technical discussions, and facilitate progress.

Required Skills:

• Strong foundational knowledge of Agile principles and Scrum methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in an environment utilizing SAFe.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including technical teams, product owners, and senior leadership.
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand architectural approaches and system designs.
• Proficiency in using agile project management tools like JIRA.
• Aptitude for identifying and managing risks, issues, and dependencies.
