Rolling Stock/Electrical/Electronics Engineering - Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Development:

• Conceptualize, design, and develop power electronic traction and auxiliary converters/inverters for rail and industrial applications.
• Create power schemes, perform system simulations, and validate designs to meet customer specifications.
• Select and design components such as magnetics, heat sinks, capacitors, resistors, contactors, fuses, blowers, low-inductive busbars, and cables.
• Develop test strategies and generate component specifications.

Technical Expertise:

• Apply cooling technologies (air and water-cooled) for converter systems.
• Utilize PLM processes and FMEA for product lifecycle and risk analysis.
• Ensure designs comply with IEC, EN, and IS standards applicable to the rail industry.

Project Management:

• Lead project planning and execution activities.
• Monitor cost reduction initiatives and support design of low-cost components.
• Drive product costing and ensure on-time project delivery.

Quality & Risk Management:

• Conduct design validation and testing for performance and reliability.
• Perform risk assessment and apply problem-solving methodologies such as A3 and 8D.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and project milestones.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work cross-functionally with design, production, and quality teams.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership within the engineering team.
• Communicate project updates and technical insights effectively to stakeholders.
