Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, inspect, and manage mechanical works related to refinery equipment, piping, storage tanks, heat exchangers, and other static/rotating equipment
  • Carry out third-party inspections as per project and industry standards, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, safety codes, and quality guidelines
  • Review and validate equipment certifications, inspection test plans (ITP), WPS/PQR, and quality documentation
  • Coordinate with OEMs, EPC contractors, and clients during inspection and testing of mechanical components
  • Monitor fabrication, erection, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with mechanical standards
  • Ensure accurate documentation of inspection activities, non-conformities, and corrective actions
  • Provide technical support and consultation during procurement, installation, and pre-commissioning
  • Maintain updated knowledge of international standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.) related to mechanical inspection

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • B.E/B.Tech (minimum 3 years) or Diploma (minimum 5 years) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a recognized university
  • Experience in refinery, oil & gas, or petrochemical sectors
  • Extensive experience with third-party inspection of mechanical equipment and systems
  • Familiarity with inspection and testing procedures including NDT, hydrotest, pneumatic tests
  • Strong communication and coordination skills for client/vendor interface
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and engineering documentation tools
