Job Description
- Oversee accuracy of room blocks, reservations, and group market codes
- Communicate company values and culture to new employees
- Review and implement new reservations procedures
- Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations via phone, fax, or mail
- Identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room type
- Verify room type availability and rate
- Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers
- Accommodate and document special requests
- Answer guest questions about property facilities and accommodations
- Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue
- Input and access data in the reservation system
- Respond to challenges in accommodating rooming requests
- Set up proper billing accounts in line with accounting policies
- Troubleshoot and resolve guest issues or escalate as needed
- Assist management with training, scheduling, counseling, and coaching employees
- Act as a role model and first contact in Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Ensure professional personal appearance and maintain confidentiality
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests per company standards
- Anticipate guest service needs and respond with appreciation
- Communicate professionally and prepare documents accurately
- Answer phones using appropriate etiquette
- Build and maintain positive relationships with team members
- Comply with quality assurance standards
- Read and verify information in various formats
- Move, lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 10 lbs without assistance
- Perform other duties as requested by Supervisors
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year
- Certification: None required
