Job Description
- Synthesis Purification : Synthesize, purify, and characterize novel chemical compounds for drug discovery.
- Chemical Reactions : Ensure safe conduct of reactions with a strong understanding of organic chemistry principles.
- Multi-step Synthesis : Apply knowledge of functional group conversion and multi-step synthesis techniques.
- Retrosynthetic Analysis : Basic knowledge of retrosynthetic analysis (desirable).
- Analytical Skills : Analyze NMR , IR , and Mass Spectrometry data with excellence.
- Reaction Safety : Maintain strict adherence to safe lab practices.
- Team Collaboration : Work collaboratively with colleagues to move chemistry projects forward.
- Technical Expertise : Expertise in TLC , column purification , extraction , and handling pyrophoric reactions .
- Lab Practices : Maintain safe and productive laboratory conditions.
- Literature Search : Proficient in conducting literature searches using tools such as Reaxys .
- Communication Skills : Demonstrate good communication and presentation skills.
Person Profile Qualifications :
- M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry or a related field, or M. Pharma .
Experience :
- 1-6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry.
