Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Revenue Generation:

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Expand market share and penetration of construction chemicals (e.g., admixtures, waterproofing, grouts, repair products, sealants).
  • Track and analyze regional sales data to identify trends and opportunities.

Business Development:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with contractors, applicators, consultants, architects, and infrastructure companies.
  • Build strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders.
  • Monitor competitor activities and develop counter-strategies.

Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Area Sales Managers, Territory Sales Officers, and Technical Support staff.
  • Set clear goals, conduct regular reviews, and ensure team productivity and motivation.
  • Provide ongoing training on products, sales techniques, and market intelligence.

Channel Management:

  • Develop and manage distributor/dealer networks in Pune & ROM.
  • Ensure effective stock availability, pricing control, and timely payment collection.

Project & Specification Sales:

  • Work closely with specification teams and consultants to get products approved in large construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Track upcoming projects and ensure product adoption at design stage.

Technical Support & Customer Service:

  • Collaborate with the technical team for on-site support, product trials, and resolving complaints.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely service and quality assurance.

Reporting & Compliance:

  • Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing guidelines, and credit norms.

Key Requirements:

  • Education:
  •  B.E./B.Tech (Civil/Chemical) + MBA in Marketing (preferred)

Experience:

  •  8 12 years in construction chemicals or building materials sales, with 3 5 years in a regional leadership role

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of construction processes and chemical products
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to handle multi-channel sales and project-based selling
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and sales forecasting

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Achievement of sales and revenue targets
  • Growth in market share and new customer acquisition
  • Distributor performance and network expansion
  • Project win ratio and specification approvals
  • Team performance and attrition rate
