Job Description
A Regional Sales Manager for a Home Loan (HL) Branch Channel is responsible for driving sales of home and property loans through the bank's branch network by leading a sales team and building relationships with customers, builders, and channel partners. Key duties include meeting sales targets, managing a sales team, coordinating with operations and risk teams, and handling loan processing and customer follow-up. This role requires strong leadership, sales, and communication skills, and experience in HL/LAP sales and team management.
Key responsibilities
- Drive sales: Acquire new home loan (HL) and Loan Against Property (LAP) business through the branch network.
- Manage sales team: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales executives or officers to meet monthly and quarterly targets.
- Develop partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners like builders, connectors, and DSAs.
- Customer engagement: Connect with clients, generate leads, and manage customer inquiries and issues through the sales process.
- Process and coordination: Work with credit, operations, and risk teams to ensure smooth loan processing, disbursal, and portfolio quality.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit MIS reports to supervisors.
- Strategic planning: Plan regional sales strategy with zonal heads and identify opportunities for business growth.
Qualifications and skills
- Education: Graduate or MBA in finance, marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in HL/LAP sales, with at least 2 years in a team management role. Experience in the affordable housing segment is often preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management (CRM) skills are essential.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Attributes: Result-oriented, persuasive, and capable of taking initiative.
- Other: Extensive travel within the assigned territory may be required.
