Regional Head - Business Banking

A Regional Head for Business Banking is responsible for driving the performance and growth of business banking operations within a specific region by setting strategic goals, leading a team, managing a loan portfolio, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include developing regional strategies, managing and mentoring the team, building client relationships, and working with other departments to achieve revenue and profitability targets. 

Key responsibilities

• Strategy and growth: Develop and execute regional strategies to meet business growth, revenue, and profitability targets. Identify market opportunities to expand the business banking portfolio.
• Team leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage relationship managers, portfolio managers, and support staff. Set performance goals, monitor progress, and provide coaching.
• Talent management: Drive talent acquisition, training, and succession planning for the regional team.
• Client and stakeholder management: Build and maintain relationships with key clients, business partners, and stakeholders.
• Portfolio and risk management: Oversee the management of the regional loan portfolio and ensure compliance with financial regulations and risk management standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments like Product, Operations, Sales, IT, and Credit to ensure alignment and achieve objectives. 

Qualifications

• Education: A bachelor's or master's degree in business, management, or a related field is typically required.
• Experience: Extensive experience in leadership roles within the banking industry, with a strong understanding of the business banking sector.
• Skills: Strong leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Market knowledge: A deep understanding of regional market dynamics, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.
