Refractory Supervisor (AIC)

Key Responsibilities:

Refractory Insulation Work Execution

• Supervise and execute refractory installation, repair, and maintenance in industrial furnaces, kilns, boilers, and other high-temperature equipment.
• Plan and oversee hot cold insulation works including pipelines, equipment, and structures.
• Ensure correct application of in-situ casting of cold insulation techniques.
• Select appropriate refractory materials such as fire bricks, castables, ceramic fiber, and insulating concretes based on project needs.

Project Coordination Supervision

• Lead and monitor insulation and refractory teams for quality and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to meet project timelines.
• Ensure adherence to engineering drawings, specifications, and client requirements .

Quality Control Inspection

• Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper refractory installation and insulation application.
• Identify defects or failures in refractory linings and insulation systems and recommend corrective measures.
• Ensure work aligns with international refractory and insulation standards (ASTM, API, ISO, BS).

Safety Risk Management

• Enforce safety protocols for refractory works, hot cold insulation , and in-situ casting processes.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks with workers.

Documentation Reporting

• Maintain records of materials, labor, and project progress.
• Prepare technical reports, work completion certificates, and inspection documentation.
• Communicate project updates to management and clients.

Required Qualifications Skills:

• Education:
• B.Tech/BE in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (Minimum 3 years of experience) .
• Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (Minimum 6 years of experience) .

Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience in refractory installation and maintenance .
• Expertise in hot cold insulation and in-situ casting of cold insulation .
• Strong knowledge of refractory materials (fire bricks, castables, gunning materials, ceramic fibers).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting refractory drawings and insulation specifications.

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in refractory and insulation projects in oil gas, petrochemical, power plants, or heavy industries .
• Knowledge of thermal performance calculations and refractory testing procedures.
