Duties and Responsibilities:
Formulation & Testing:
Run new formulations in the lab based on local requirements for sealants and adhesives.
Document the test results in a professional test report.
Set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation needed for testing with minimal supervision.
Data & Material Property Evaluation:
Work out additional technical data such as weatherability, chemical resistance/compatibility, and other relevant material properties.
Scale-up Support:
Assist in the scale-up process from laboratory scale to full production.
Testing Coordination:
Place orders for specific tests to test centers or other internal/external units.
Recognize irregularities, product problems, and communicate issues properly.
Collaboration & Consultation:
Consult with Senior Technical and R&D colleagues regarding lab projects and activities, providing appropriate follow-up as needed.
Qualifications/Experience:
Education:
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry, Polymers, or related sciences.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in R&D, application testing, customer support, or technical service in the specialty chemicals, adhesives, and sealants market (preferably in Polyurethane, SMP, Epoxy, Acrylics).
