Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

New Product Development:

  • Develop new products in existing categories such as Potato Chips, Kurkure, Namkeen, Rusk, Cookies, and Corn Puffed Products.
  • Innovate and develop new products in adjacent categories.
  • Improve existing product formulations and recipes.
  • Implement new products, recipes, or process changes on the shop floor.
  • Conduct market research to explore new opportunities and identify customer needs.

Cost Optimization:

  • Optimize processes and recipes for cost efficiency.
  • Identify alternate ingredients or vendors to reduce production costs.

Quality & Compliance:

  • Conduct product shelf-life studies and improve product stability.
  • Ensure accurate nutritional and labeling declarations.
  • Manage statutory product analyses and compliance with regulations such as FSSAI, ISO, HACCP.
  • Analyze consumer feedback and implement corrective actions.

Process Improvement:

  • Conduct process capability studies to improve process consistency.
  • Identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform root cause analysis for quality issues and develop preventive measures.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quality assurance and R&D professionals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence.

Training & Development:

  • Organize training programs for staff on quality standards and best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in food technology.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare and present quality and R&D reports to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of quality processes, inspections, and audits.
