Radiology/Surgery/ED Blended(fac+Profee)Medical Coders

Key Responsibilities:

• Review medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for Radiology, Surgery, and ED encounters.
• Code for both Facility and Profee components (split billing or combined claims).
• Apply appropriate modifiers, place of service (POS) codes, and adhere to NCCI edits.
• Ensure coding quality and compliance with CMS, AAPC/AHIMA, and client-specific guidelines.
• Collaborate with QA teams and respond to audits, queries, or coding clarifications.
• Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy standards (95–98% coding accuracy).
• Stay current on payer policies, CCI edits, and CPT/ICD updates.

Qualifications:

• Education: Life Sciences / Paramedical / Allied Health Graduate
• Certifications (Mandatory): CPC / COC / CCS (AAPC or AHIMA certified)
• Experience:
• 3–6 years of coding experience in Radiology, Surgery, and ED
• Experience in both Facility & Profee coding is essential

Key Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, HCPCS, and coding guidelines
• Solid experience with modifier usage, global periods, and split/shared visits
• Familiarity with encoder tools (3M, TruCode, Optum Encoder Pro)
• Experience using EMRs such as Epic, Cerner, Athena, or Meditech
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills
