Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnostic Imaging and Interpretation:
Perform and interpret medical imaging procedures such as MRI scans, CT scans, ultrasound, and X-rays to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Patient Assessment and Guidance:
Explain imaging procedures to patients, provide instructions during scans, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the diagnostic process.
Clinical Collaboration:
Communicate imaging results with physicians and medical teams to support effective patient management and clinical decision-making.
Family Communication:
Discuss diagnostic results with patients and their family members when appropriate, ensuring clarity and understanding of findings.
Interventional Procedures:
Conduct specialized procedures such as catheter placement, transhepatic biliary drainage, and percutaneous transluminal angioplasty when required.
Image Quality Assurance:
Work closely with laboratory technicians and imaging staff to maintain high-quality diagnostic images and ensure proper equipment usage.
Consultation and Expertise Sharing:
Consult with other radiologists and medical specialists to review complex cases and ensure accurate interpretation of imaging results.
Emergency Protocol Management:
Follow established clinical protocols for managing emergency situations including bleeding, infection, resuscitation, or other complications during procedures.
Clinical Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of imaging results, diagnostic findings, and procedural details in accordance with hospital standards.
