Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the company's quality strategy, policies, and procedures in line with industry standards and customer expectations.
- Oversee Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) operations across production, raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
- Ensure compliance with relevant quality certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, GMP, HACCP, or industry-specific regulations.
- Manage audits (internal/external), regulatory inspections, and customer audits.
- Establish and monitor Key Quality Metrics (KPIs) such as first-pass yield, defect rate, customer complaints, etc.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive action (CAPA), and non-conformance management.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure quality integration throughout the product lifecycle.
- Implement Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or TQM practices to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction.
- Lead and mentor the quality team; ensure proper training and development across all quality functions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- 10–20 years of progressive experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of quality standards, process auditing, and industry-specific regulations.
- Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., 5S, FMEA, SPC, Six Sigma, CAPA).
- Experience with quality systems (QMS) and ERP platforms.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in building and managing large teams.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
