QT?& Statistics - Assistant Professor

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching & Instruction

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as:
• Business Statistics
• Quantitative Techniques
• Operations Research
• Data Analysis using Excel/SPSS/R
• Statistical Decision Making
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching material, and evaluation tools aligned with course objectives.
• Conduct assessments, case study evaluations, and project-based learning sessions.

2. Student Mentoring

• Guide students in quantitative project work, analysis-based assignments, and research activities.
• Provide academic and career support related to analytics, research, and competitive exams.

3. Research & Publications

• Undertake research in statistics, data modeling, forecasting, or related areas.
• Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences.
• Encourage student-led research and interdisciplinary collaborations.

4. Academic Development

• Participate in curriculum development, syllabus reviews, and program outcomes.
• Assist in organizing workshops, webinars, and FDPs on statistical tools and methods.
• Contribute to accreditation processes (e.g., NAAC, NBA) and departmental reporting.

5. Institutional Involvement

• Serve on academic committees, examination panels, and quality assurance teams.
• Coordinate with other departments to integrate quantitative approaches into interdisciplinary teaching.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education:
• Master's degree in Statistics / Mathematics / Quantitative Techniques / Data Science / MBA (with QT specialization)
• UGC-NET qualification (preferred)
• Ph.D. in relevant field (preferred or as per institutional requirement)
• Experience:
• 0–3 years of teaching or research experience
• Freshers with excellent academic background may also be considered

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong command over statistical and quantitative methods
• Proficiency in tools like MS Excel, SPSS, R, Python (for data analysis)
• Ability to simplify complex mathematical concepts for management students
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for teaching, mentoring, and research
