QA Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Test Planning & Design: Review design specifications to thoroughly understand the scope, requirements, and functions of the software product. Identify appropriate parameters, functions, and data to test and validate, including general function, validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
• Test Case Development & Prioritization: Collaborate with system users to understand project scope and identify business requirements. Develop comprehensive test cases and prioritize testing activities based on risk and criticality.
• Manual & Functional Testing: Execute all test cases, performing thorough manual and functional testing. Report defects clearly, defining severity and priority for each, and work with software developers and project support teams for resolution.
• Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing diligently every time changes are made to the code or defects are fixed, ensuring no new issues are introduced.
• Performance Monitoring & Testing: Analyze and monitor the performance of products. Conduct performance testing to assess system responsiveness and stability under various loads.
• Quality Assurance & Improvement: Contribute to maintaining the overall quality of products. This includes reviewing and approving test results, developing and tracking test metrics, and continuously identifying areas for quality improvement.
• STLC & SDLC Adherence: Demonstrate a strong understanding of the complete Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and ensure adherence to processes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the product team on the design and development of new features, providing quality insights from the early stages.
• Documentation & Automation: Create and maintain documentation and tutorials for testing processes. Contribute to implementing new processes and creating new tools to automate testing efforts.

Required Skills:

• Good in Manual and Functional Testing.
• Understanding of complete STLC & SDLC.
• Ability to meet with system users to understand project scope and identify business requirements.
• Capability to develop Test cases and prioritize testing activities.
• Proficiency in executing all test cases and reporting defects, defining severity and priority.
• Experience in carrying out regression testing.
• Experience in Performance testing.
• Good experience in Regression, Smoke, and Sanity testing.
• Ability to review design specifications to understand scope, requirements, and function.
• Skills in identifying appropriate parameters, functions, and data to test and validate.
• Capability to conduct testing to ensure products perform according to user requirements.
• Proficiency in reporting defects, identifying, and recommending solutions, improvements, and updates.
• Ability to analyze and monitor product performance.
• Experience in developing and implementing test plans for product defects.
• Skills in reviewing and approving test results, and developing and tracking test metrics.
• Commitment to helping maintain product quality.
• Ability to work closely with the product team on new features.
• Experience in creating and maintaining documentation and tutorials.
• Skills in implementing new processes and creating new tools to automate testing.

Good to Have (Secondary Skills):

• Domain Knowledge of Import/Export, Shipping & Logistics applications.
• Knowledge of Automation testing and automation tools.
• Familiarity with PL/SQL, SQL.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
