Job Description
Procurement Compliance
• Ensure all purchasing activities follow IATF Procedure TS-PR-14.
• Comply with IATF procedures for new supplier onboarding or supplier changes.
• Procure raw materials, consumables, maintenance spares, tooling, hardware, capital equipment, and administrative supplies.
Vendor Management
• Develop, evaluate, and sustain vendors and subcontractors.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives with vendors and internal teams.
• Ensure procurement is executed only through approved and qualified sources.
Production Quality Coordination
• Ensure raw materials meet specified technical and quality requirements.
• Ensure timely and continuous supply of materials according to production schedules.
• Liaise with Production, QA, and R&D for new product development and sample casting.
• Schedule and monitor all product development activities.
Transportation & Logistics
• Handle and manage transportation contracts to ensure optimal cost and timely delivery.
Quality Management System (QMS)
• Implement and adhere to the documented QMS within the purchase department.
• Participate in internal and external audits and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor departmental KPIs, cost targets, and objectives.
• Attend management review meetings and communicate relevant updates.
Accountability & Authority
• Accountable for supplier QMS performance, production loss due to material shortages, premium freight costs, inventory levels, and departmental procurement objectives.
• Authorized to negotiate vendor rates and finalize procurement terms (with approvals), issue Purchase Orders, and coordinate all purchase department activities and vendor interactions.
