Job Description
- Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Development & Management
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors to support production requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers to ensure consistent supply and quality.
- New Vendor Selection
- Assess vendor capabilities based on quality, capacity, cost, and compliance criteria.
- Conduct vendor audits and ensure alignment with company standards.
- Technical Feasibility & Process Verification
- Verify manufacturing process feasibility as per technical drawings and product specifications.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure alignment with technical requirements.
- RFQ Management & Cost Negotiation
- Float Requests for Quotations (RFQ), perform quote analysis/comparisons, and negotiate competitive pricing.
- Finalize cost settlements in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Product Development & Timely Delivery
- Coordinate with vendors to develop new products as per required lead times and quality expectations.
- Track development timelines and ensure timely availability of parts/components.
- Supply Chain Management
- Oversee end-to-end procurement processes, including material planning, order placement, and logistics.
- Maintain inventory levels and optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Travel Flexibility
- Willingness to travel to vendor sites, manufacturing units, or project locations as required.
- Qualifications:
- Graduate/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Production preferred) or related field
- 1–5 years of relevant experience in vendor development and procurement
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems, and documentation
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Willing to travel based on operational needs
