Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead project teams to deliver outputs/outcomes within scope, time, cost, and quality constraints.
  • Foster innovation, empower teams, and act ethically, socially, and professionally across all stakeholder interactions.

Project Team Management

  • Manage day-to-day team operations, clearly defining roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop capability, mentor team members, and inspire performance excellence.

Business Case & Benefits Management

  • Support preparation, approval, and refinement of project business cases.
  • Track and report on forecasted vs. actual benefits, ensuring outputs meet business/program objectives.

Budget & Cost Management

  • Manage project budgets, monitor forecasts, and report actuals.
  • Ensure financial controls are in place for cost efficiency.

Governance & Project Controls

  • Establish and maintain effective governance frameworks, defining roles, responsibilities, and decision-making protocols.
  • Document project fundamentals: scope, schedules, resource requirements, risks, opportunities, and quality standards.

Scheduling & Dependency Management

  • Develop and maintain project schedules considering dependencies and resource constraints.
  • Identify owners for interdependencies, manage conflicts, and resolve issues across projects.

Resource Management

  • Implement and update resource allocation plans for internal and external resources.

Stakeholder & Communications Management

  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, addressing concerns proactively.
  • Ensure alignment with wider programs, portfolios, and organizational communications.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Coordinate with related projects to manage interdependencies effectively.
