Job Description
Overview:
- Lead a team of analysts within Bain's Private Equity CoE focused on the Healthcare (HC) industry.
- Work spans due diligences, internal products (IP), and client development (CD) with Bain case teams globally.
- Healthcare domains include Pharmaceuticals, MedTech, Providers, Payers, Global Health, and Digital Health.
Responsibilities:
Project & Team Leadership
- Lead HC-focused case teams across various sub-domains.
- Build and execute work plans, develop problem-solving approaches, and manage case output.
- Provide day-to-day coaching and mentorship to a group of 3–4 team members.
- Assign and manage work streams, ensure quality, and provide constructive feedback.
Client Engagement
- Build strong relationships with Bain case teams and clients.
- Communicate data and insights clearly and professionally.
- Understand client needs and deliver domain-specific insights and recommendations.
- Lead client/stakeholder meetings and presentations.
Product Development & IP Support
- Collaborate with Bain Practice leadership to develop and deploy analytical products and insights.
- Share ideas to enhance IP products and commercial offerings.
- Support proposal development and content creation for Healthcare clients.
Technical & Analytical Contributions
- Use analytical tools like Excel, Tableau, Alteryx, Python, R, or SPSS.
- Conduct in-depth market sizing, competitive intelligence, surveys, and digital analytics.
- Tackle disruption assessments and advanced data problems in strategy contexts.
Talent Management
- Coach junior analysts and help in their professional development.
- Deliver performance reviews and feedback; recommend performance ratings.
- Foster a trust-based, collaborative team environment.
- Act as a role model and ambassador of Bain's culture.
Qualifications:
- B.Pharm/BDS/BE (Biotech or related)/BS (Sciences) + MBA from a top-tier institute.
- 5+ years of experience in professional services or strategic consulting.
- Strong understanding of Healthcare industry topics and client issues.
- Hands-on experience managing teams and complex projects.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Experience with data tools (Alteryx, Tableau, R/Python) is a plus.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
