Project Engineer / Manager - BMS (Building Management System)

Title: Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer - Building Management System (BMS)

Location: Mumbai, Gurgaon

Experience: 2-7 years of experience in BMS project execution and handover

Job Overview:

The Project Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing BMS projects from execution to handover. The role involves planning, scheduling, coordination, and monitoring of engineering activities while ensuring compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and client requirements. The candidate will act as a key interface between clients, consultants, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects
• Review engineering tasks and initiate necessary corrective actions
• Ensure full compliance of subcontractors with company quality policies and method statements
• Ensure availability and proper condition of all required equipment for project execution
• Coordinate with Electrical, QA/QC, and EHS teams for safe and effective project execution
• Liaise with clients and consultants for smooth execution of BMS project activities
• Collect and analyze project data to generate status reports and recommend improvements
• Coordinate with the Project Manager for labor allocation and resource planning
• Implement precautionary measures to protect work from environmental conditions (heat, rain, wind, etc.)
• Ensure all work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards

Key Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and HVAC controls
• Experience in project execution, commissioning, and handover
• Understanding of electrical systems, control systems, and automation
• Familiarity with QA/QC standards and safety regulations (EHS)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Project planning and scheduling skills (MS Project or similar tools preferred)
• Excellent communication and client-handling skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Team coordination and leadership skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
