Product Designer - E3D Catalogue Design and Admin

We are seeking a Product Designer to work closely with our Engineering Team, turning complex system concepts into innovative product designs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of activities, including the design of new systems and the ongoing updates of existing product lines. This is a hands-on role that requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop effective design solutions and ensure a seamless hand-off to the Operations Team.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks

• Design complex systems and devices using E3D Paragon-Admin, Autodesk Inventor, and Navis CAD software.
• Collaborate with key business areas to understand design requirements and develop effective design solutions.
• Follow engineering processes to ensure quality is designed into all products and identify process improvements.
• Produce, control, and maintain all required design documentation.
• Participate in design review meetings to provide and receive feedback.
• Hand-over product designs to the Operations Team to enable successful new product introduction.
• Provide design advice and support to the build and commissioning teams during product build and testing.

Qualifications

• Relevant higher education qualification in mechanical or production engineering.
• Proven and relevant experience in a similar role.

Skills

• Proficient use of a recognized CAD design package, with specific experience in E3D Paragon-Admin, Autodesk Inventor, and Navis.
• Creative problem-solver with a strong team-work attitude.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow and improve engineering processes.
