Product Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply and support the development of design processes such as Design Review, Virtual Review, and tools like Creo, DFMEA, DVP&R, DFM, DFA, and tolerance stack-up.
• Conduct cross-functional design reviews independently and seek guidance from experts as needed.
• Perform 3D CAD modelling of major casting components and other engine parts like plumbing, sheet metal brackets, etc.
• Create and check 2D drawings with application of GD&T and ensure design is suitable for manufacturing, service, and assembly.
• Develop engineering releases aligned with the component requirements for each design phase.
• Provide support during engine build activities by reviewing and validating the BOM.
• Support part movement during engine builds, validation, and testing stages.
• Handle ETLA and manage product tailoring components/system TLA.

Requirements:

• Education: MTech or BTech in Mechanical Engineering or associated branches.
• Experience: 6 to 12 years of experience in product design, especially in engine component design.
• CAD Expertise: Proficiency in Pro/E Creo (version 2.0 or higher) with focus on casting, sheet metal, and plumbing components.
• Knowledge Areas: Understanding of the product lifecycle, manufacturing processes, design for assembly, and engine component functionality.
• Preferred: MCM knowledge is desirable.
