Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Planning
- Identify the goods and services required by the institution.
- Develop and implement procurement plans in alignment with organizational needs.
2. Supplier Selection
- Evaluate, select, and approve suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Negotiate terms and pricing to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
3. Purchase Orders
- Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and timely.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with institutional policies and procedures.
4. Contract Management
- Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts.
- Ensure adherence to contractual terms and resolve any disputes.
5. Supplier Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
6. Recordkeeping
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, purchase orders, contracts, and supplier databases.
- Ensure proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Monitor market trends and recommend improvements in procurement processes.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement best practices in sourcing and purchasing.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
