Key Roles & Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Role models Engaging Leader behaviors to build a high-performing team.
- Supports and leads capability development of platform members per the Technician Career System.
- Provides coaching, support, direction, and feedback to drive performance.
- Fosters an inclusive environment that encourages collaboration and problem-solving.
- Applies Reward and Recognition System expectations at individual and team levels.
- Able to temporarily cover Platform Leader and Maintenance Leader responsibilities during short-term absences.
Process & Performance Ownership
- Accountable for 24-hour platform results, focusing on safety and process loss metrics.
- Supports the DDS (Daily Direction Setting) process and coaches DDS at the line level.
- Owns and drives the CIL (Clean-Inspect-Lubricate) and Centreline (CL) daily management system across the platform.
- Supports loss tree and glidepath development, executing parts of the 90-day improvement plan.
- Ensures accuracy in Capacity Analysis data and uses it to identify and eliminate losses.
- Leverages advanced data analysis tools to eliminate losses and applies Statistical Process Control (SPC) to reduce overuse/overpack.
- Serves as a Rapid Changeover subject matter expert to eliminate planned losses.
- Leads change management and validation processes for system and process changes.
Technical Expertise & Problem Solving
- Uses technical expertise to support platform quality and ensure product/process standards.
- Coaches teams on problem-solving methods to identify and eliminate root causes.
- Develops a deep understanding of all DMS (CIL, CL, DH, BE, etc.) to enhance coaching impact and loss analysis.
- Partners with Engineering for capital projects and product commercialization.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensures safety of associates, contractors, products, and property within the plant.
- Drives an HSE culture via leadership, team engagement, and policy deployment.
- Ensures compliance with GMI GSE Standards and relevant local legislation.
- Ensures effective implementation of General Mills Quality Policies and Food Safety requirements.
People & Industrial Relations
- Maintains good industrial relations on the shop floor using bipartite forums.
- Ensures proper escalation and resolution of employee grievances or complaints.

Key Interfaces

Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Food Science from a recognized institute
- 4–6 years of manufacturing experience with strong focus on loss recovery online
- Proven coaching and people management capabilities
- Prior experience in the FMCG sector is a must
- Experience in the food industry is preferred
