Role Overview

This is a principal-level, globally scoped statistics role for professionals who want to own survey methodology end-to-end while being based in one of Asia's fastest-growing research hubs.

You will lead sampling design, weighting, and methodological quality for large, multi-country surveys spanning developed and emerging markets. The role focuses on how data is collected and validated, not downstream data science or modeling.

India is the execution hub, but the work, stakeholders, and impact are global.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead probability-based sampling for face-to-face, phone, and web surveys
• Design and validate sampling frames across multiple countries
• Own weighting strategies (non-response adjustment, post-stratification)
• Partner with global field teams to resolve real-world sampling challenges
• Ensure methodological consistency across regions
• Use R or Python for weighting, validation, and diagnostics
• Document and defend methodologies for global audiences
• Mentor a high-quality India-based statistics team

Required Background

• Master's or PhD in Statistics or related field
• 7+ years in survey statistics, sampling, or methodology roles
• Experience with international, government, NGO, or large research programs
• Strong command of classical survey statistics
• Willingness to relocate to Bangalore, India
