Principal Specialist, Material Management
Job Description
• Maintain the highest ethical standards of Material Management professional responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
• Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.
• Work effectively within multi-functional, culturally and regionally diverse project teams.
• Prepare and issue RFQ bidder lists and RFQs; review and understand project Terms and Conditions.
• Negotiate terms, conditions, and commercial attributes with suppliers.
• Prepare bid tabulations for equipment and bulk commodities.
• Participate in all task force meetings and chair clarification meetings.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and change orders; ensure timely submittal and processing of supplier invoices.
• Handle Purchase Order closeout.
• Proactively manage suppliers and sub-suppliers to maintain delivery schedules.
• Expedite timely submittal/return of engineering documents, delivery of sub-vendor material, and fabrication activities to track contractual delivery schedules.
• Detect and resolve potential issues early and implement Recovery Plans if required.
• Maintain approved material management reference system schedules and expediting notes.
