Principal Engineer, Cross Functional Services Engineering (CFSE)

As a Principal Engineer in Cross Functional Services Engineering (CFSE), you will be a key technical leader responsible for architecting and delivering scalable, resilient, and reusable services and frameworks that serve multiple engineering teams. You will collaborate across functions to enable agility, consistency, and operational excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership:
• Lead the design and implementation of platform-level services and infrastructure that support multiple products and teams.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with architecture, product, security, DevOps, and other engineering teams to ensure alignment and integration of services.
• Architecture & Design:
• Define and drive architectural decisions that scale with business growth, with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and reusability.
• Mentorship:
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers across teams, promoting technical excellence and best practices in software engineering.
• Innovation & Strategy:
• Contribute to the long-term technical roadmap for cross-functional platforms and services, staying ahead of industry trends.
• Service Development:
• Build core services including authentication, logging, monitoring, configuration, and deployment frameworks used organization-wide.
• Process Improvement:
• Champion CI/CD practices, test automation, and incident management strategies to ensure high service uptime and quality.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a principal or senior technical leadership role.
• Proven experience designing and scaling distributed systems and services architecture.
• Expertise in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, etc.).
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong grasp of DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in cross-functional platform or infrastructure engineering.
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and governance in large-scale software systems.
• Contributions to open-source projects or industry consortiums.
