Power System Engineer

We are seeking a Power System Engineer with 2-10 years of relevant professional experience. The ideal candidate will hold a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and demonstrate expertise in power system analysis software. This role requires an individual who is flexible, adaptable, and capable of performing complex technical modeling and grid studies while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Modeling & Analysis: Perform technical modeling and power grid studies using industry-standard software such as PSS/E, PSLF, EMTP, PSCAD, ETAP, and MiPower. This includes conducting studies for generator interconnection, load forecasting, and harmonics analysis.
• Automation & Process Improvement: Develop tools and scripts using software like Python and Visual Basic to automate repetitive tasks and improve project efficiency.
• Project Management: Manage multiple projects concurrently, identifying and addressing critical path items to meet deadlines. You will assist project managers and coordinate with team members to ensure all deliverables are completed on time.
• Collaboration & Standards: Work both independently and with the team, with the flexibility to adapt to multiple time zones. You should be familiar with industry standards such as IEEE/NERC and IEC.

Required Qualifications

• Education: A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering.
• Experience: 2-10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Technical Skills: Demonstrated expertise in power system analysis software. Experience with North American power system fundamentals is an added advantage.
• Personal Attributes: Strong ability to prioritize and manage time effectively. You must be able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and be willing to travel internationally as needed.
