Power Builder

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using PowerBuilder.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug existing PowerBuilder code and SQL scripts.
• Migrate legacy PowerBuilder applications to modern platforms where applicable.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Integrate PowerBuilder applications with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
• Optimize performance of PowerBuilder applications and related database components.
• Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications and user guides.
• Participate in code reviews, QA testing, and production support activities.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with PowerBuilder (version 10–2019 R3 or later preferred).
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with RDBMS like SQL Server, Oracle, or Sybase.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles within PowerBuilder.
• Experience with Stored Procedures, Triggers, and Views.
• Knowledge of Client/Server architecture.
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git, TFS).
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
