Power BI Developer - Vedoc

Key Responsibilities:

BI & Reporting:

• Analyze existing reporting tools (e.g., Cognos) and translate business logic into optimized Power BI solutions
• Design and implement scalable data models in Power BI (Star schema preferred)
• Develop complex DAX measures and performance-optimized reports
• Implement row-level security (RLS) and governance best practices

Data Engineering & ETL:

• Build and maintain ETL pipelines using Databricks (Lakehouse architecture)
• Write and optimize queries using Spark SQL
• Develop data transformation workflows using PySpark
• Ensure data accuracy, validation, and reconciliation between Cognos and Power BI outputs
• Perform performance tuning and report optimization

Collaboration & Governance:

• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and refine reporting requirements
• Support deployment, testing, and production rollout
• Maintain adherence to data governance and security standards
