Power BI Developer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and build impactful Power BI reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards, ensuring they meet business requirements and provide actionable insights.
• Perform hands-on data preparation using Power BI's inbuilt features, ensuring data quality and readiness for analysis.
• Develop and implement robust data models within Power BI, applying expertise in model optimizations using Power Query (M language), SQL, and Dataflows.
• Create and manage Data Flows in Power BI Service to streamline data ingestion and transformation processes.
• Develop complex calculated measures and columns using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), demonstrating a strong understanding of DAX queries in Power BI Desktop.
• Design, develop, and deploy Power BI scripts, conducting efficient and detailed data analysis.
• Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop, and gain experience with Power BI Report Builder for paginated report development.
• Collaborate closely with business product owners to understand their analytical needs and recommend appropriate visualizations and dashboard layouts.
• Translate complex client business requirements into a structured set of analytical tasks and reporting solutions.
• Work independently on defined business problems, deriving meaningful insights and presenting them clearly.
• Configure Power BI environments, including both on-premise gateways and cloud services.
• Connect Power BI to various data sources, including both SAP and non-SAP systems.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in designing and building Power BI Reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards.
• Hands-on experience in Data Preparation using Power BI features.
• Expertise in Data Modeling and custom calculations in Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of model optimizations using Power Query (M), SQL, Dataflows, and Advanced DAX.
• Experience in Data Flow creation in Power BI Service.
• Strong experience in making DAX queries in Power BI Desktop and developing complex calculated measures.
• Ability to design, develop, and deploy Power BI scripts for detailed analysis.
• Experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Report Builder for paginated reports.
• Experience with Power BI configurations for both on-premise and cloud environments.
• Experience in connecting Power BI to various sources, including SAP and NON-SAP.
• Ability to translate business requirements into analytical tasks and generate meaningful insights independently.
