Job Description
Purpose of the Role:
This role is responsible for managing simulation activities from India for Enlarge Europe customers. Simulations are conducted for new or updated projects involving vehicle or industrial systems using Siemens Plant Simulation (v16.0.11).
Types of simulations include:
- Specific process simulations (shop floor, complex buffers)
- Full plant block model creation (vehicle flow from Body Shop to General Assembly, via Paint Shop, Buffers, and Central Storage)
- Logistics flow simulation (AGV, trains, forklifts)
The role is also accountable for Vehicle and Logistics Flow simulation in the IAP zone.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor planning and deliverables of simulation projects; take corrective action when needed
- Create/update simulation models based on layout, input data, and standards provided by the EE VPE team
- Develop block models of vehicle flows and simulate logistics and specific processes
- Deliver technical documentation (presentations, simulation models, spreadsheets, videos) based on simulation outputs
- Handover simulation models and results to the EE simulation team
- Report activities and findings to EE VPE leads
- Collaborate effectively with customers, suppliers, and plant staff
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of in-plant logistics and vehicle flow
- Understanding of vehicle shop production processes and related KPIs
- Expertise in process and discrete event simulation, including dynamic and random failure modeling
- Fluent in English
Software Skills:
- Siemens Plant Simulation (mandatory, including coding knowledge)
- Tecnomatix PlantSim
- PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI
- AutoCAD
Job Specification:
- Qualification: Engineering Graduate or Postgraduate
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in vehicle and logistics flow simulation
