Physiotherapist

Responsibilities:

• Conduct clinical diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions
• Develop and implement community-based care plans
• Prescribe and manage psychopharmacological treatments; provide psychotherapy where appropriate
• Offer counseling to patients and families, ensuring empathetic and culturally sensitive care
• Provide crisis intervention and manage suicide risk cases effectively
• Collaborate with social workers, nurses, NGOs, and other stakeholders in patient care
• Advocate for mental health awareness and promote community outreach programs
• Maintain accurate case documentation in line with legal and regulatory frameworks (e.g., MHCA 2017)
• Engage in outreach, rehabilitation, and follow-up services for underserved and vulnerable populations

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis, treatment, and therapies
• Proficiency in psychopharmacology and evidence-based therapeutic interventions
• Excellent communication and counseling skills
• Cultural sensitivity and high levels of empathy
• Crisis management and risk assessment abilities
• Teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration
• Understanding of mental health laws and ethical practices (MHCA 2017 or equivalent)
• Ability to engage in community outreach and long-term follow-up care
