Key Responsibilities:
PHP Development:
Develop and maintain PHP-based web applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code in PHP for server-side development.
Design and develop custom PHP applications for both front-end and back-end requirements.
Frameworks & CMS:
Work with popular PHP frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter to build robust and scalable applications.
Develop custom themes, plugins, and modules for WordPress, Drupal, or other CMS platforms (if required).
Implement and maintain complex content management systems, including working with database backends.
Database Design & Management:
Design, implement, and manage databases using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.
Optimize database queries for improved performance and scalability.
Develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and database schemas for efficient data retrieval and storage.
API Integration & Development:
Build and integrate RESTful APIs and SOAP web services to connect third-party applications with the PHP-based system.
Handle API integrations with payment gateways, CRM systems, and other third-party services as needed.
Front-End Integration:
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate the front-end elements built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Implement responsive web designs that are mobile-friendly, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and usability.
Work on front-end performance optimization and make sure that the UI is smooth, intuitive, and efficient.
Security & Optimization:
Implement best practices for web security, including securing forms, preventing SQL injection, and mitigating other common vulnerabilities.
Optimize code for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring smooth user experiences even under high traffic conditions.
Maintain data integrity and ensure proper error handling and logging practices.
Testing & Debugging:
Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and functional testing to ensure that all modules function correctly.
Debug and troubleshoot issues related to PHP, databases, and front-end integration.
Use tools like Xdebug and other debugging tools for resolving issues quickly.
Collaboration & Documentation:
Work closely with the design, QA, and product teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
Contribute to the full development lifecycle including planning, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Document the code, processes, and application architecture to ensure easy handovers and knowledge transfer.
Agile Development:
Participate in Agile/Scrum methodology, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Provide regular updates on project status, blockers, and delivery timelines.
Required Qualifications:
3-5 years of professional experience as a PHP Developer.
Strong proficiency in PHP and experience with object-oriented programming (OOP).
Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
Hands-on experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiar with front-end frameworks like Vue.js, React, or Angular.
Experience with RESTful APIs and web services integration.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
Knowledge of web security best practices (e.g., preventing XSS, CSRF, SQL Injection).
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
