Responsibilities
- Understanding curriculum standards and Principles of Biology.
- Creating stimulating lesson plans to foster maximum student's engagement
- Strategizing lessons to create student's interest with analogies from daily life situations and examples.
- Adjusting teaching practices to support differentiated learning.
- Supervising lab sessions, guiding students on Individual assessments, delivering practical demonstrations.
- Developing experimental and investigative scientific skills including the use of current technologies
- Creating real world connections via transdisciplinary and cross- curricular approach to bring out the nature of science
- Appreciating scientific study and creativity within a global context through stimulating and challenging opportunities
- Guiding students to be critically aware, as global citizens, of the ethical implications of using science and technology
- Developing an understanding of the relationships between scientific disciplines and their influence on other areas of knowledge.
- Creating a critical awareness of the need for, and the value of, effective collaboration and communication during scientific activities
- Developing an ability to analyze, evaluate and synthesize scientific information
- Taking part in the process of mentoring and supervising of the Extended Essay component for Biology and world studies.
- Identifying and teaching study skills that will develop students' ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Planning activities and worksheets aligned to foster approaches to learning.
