Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated PE (Private Equity) Supervisor to oversee the core accounting functions for our private equity fund clients. This role involves managing a team, acting as a primary client contact, and ensuring the accuracy of all financial and reporting activities. The ideal candidate is a motivated and diligent professional with deep expertise in asset management accounting and a proven ability to lead and build strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fund Accounting & Reporting:
  • Maintain books and records and oversee the calculation of fund Net Asset Values (NAVs).
  • Review and/or prepare financial statements and associated reports, including performance metrics.
  • Review and/or calculate complex calculations for carried interest/performance/incentive fees.
  • Review and/or prepare calculations and investor allocations for capital calls, distributions, and equalizations.
  • Coordinate and/or process payments and other transactions.
  • Team & Client Management:
  • Supervise junior staff, reviewing and signing off on work performed.
  • Act as a primary day-to-day contact with clients and other fund participants.
  • Work closely with the Investor Relations team to respond to investor queries and disseminate capital activity and other investor notices.
  • Monitor Senior/Fund Accountants' progression and identify areas for training and development.
  • Assist the Assistant Vice President in coordinating the team to meet recurring and ad-hoc client deliverables, including the year-end process (audit timelines, financial statement preparation, regulatory filings, tax services, etc.).
  • Compliance & Special Projects:
  • Participate in projects that may be defined from time to time in connection with the continuing expansion and evolution of the business.
  • Identify and escalate any material issues affecting service delivery to the Assistant Vice President.
  • Handle any other functions required as part of the business, reporting to the Assistant Vice President.

About You

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Qualifications: Professional accounting qualification - CA, CPA, ACCA, or similar.
  • Experience:
  • Experience in accounting for the financial services sector, particularly Private Equity, Asset Management, or Fund Administration.
  • Experienced in reviewing and preparing general ledger and financial statements.
  • Knowledge:
  • Established knowledge in relation to accounting and consolidations under IFRS.
  • User experience with enterprise accounting system(s).
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English (both verbal and written).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).
  • Sound judgment, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
