PCB Design Engineer

Job description

• Developing robust, reliable and scalable layouts from the schematic net-list based on strong SI, PI, EMC & electrical safety guidelines
• Co-ordinating between hardware & mechanical design teams to come up with most efficient board design for the project
• Maintaining proper documentation for various PCB revisions and components changes
• Initial hardware bring-up and test of PCBs to check initial level of functioning
• Generating and maintaining proper record of BOM, Gerber files, fabrications and assembly documents
• Co-ordinating with manufacturing house over DFM/DFA and various other aspects for building a scalable and reliable product
• Building and maintaining component library for various company products

Skills and Experiences:

• Ability to read schematics
• Excellent understanding of e-CAD software (Altium)
• Strong fundamentals in electronics design (digital & analog) and PCB layout
• Experience in electronic circuit debugging/diagnosing with microcontroller-based embedded systems
• Good knowledge of inter-module communications protocols (I2C, SPI, etc
• Strong documentation and communication skills

Qualification:

• BE / BTech / ME /M
• Tech in Electronics/Computer Science or allied fields
