Pattern Maker

Key Responsibilities:

• Create first patterns based on designer sketches, technical drawings, or specifications.
• Develop both manual (paper) and digital patterns using tools like Gerber, Lectra, TUKAcad, or CLO 3D.
• Adjust patterns based on fit sessions, designer feedback, and sample evaluations.
• Ensure pattern accuracy in terms of measurement, balance, and grading.
• Conduct sample fittings and collaborate with technical designers and sample makers.
• Maintain pattern library and documentation for different styles and sizes.
• Provide production-ready patterns with all necessary details: notches, grainlines, seam allowances, etc.
• Troubleshoot pattern issues related to fabric performance, construction, or sizing.
• Collaborate with cutting and sewing teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in pattern making for fashion or apparel manufacturing.
• Proficient in pattern drafting, draping, and grading techniques.
• Skilled in pattern-making software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, TUKAcad, Optitex, or CLO 3D).
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, sizing, and fit standards.
• Familiarity with various fabric types and their behavior.
• Understanding of industrial sewing processes and finishing techniques.
