We are hiring: Oracle Engineer

• Experience: 3–6 Years
• Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days

Description:

• Skilled DBA with >2 years experience in Oracle Database technologies (v11.2 - 19c (v8, or 9 a bonus)
• Proven experience with upgrading databases and with data migration techniques
• Has worked in an enterprise production environment, so understands the criticality of Change Management and evidencing actions taken
• Has experience with database clustering technologies (RAC / Dataguard)
• Has deep experience and understanding of data migration and synchronisation techniques to migrate data between two different database instances:
• Dump/Load
• DataGuard / Async Replication
• Goldengate / Synchronous Replication
• Has used these to perform side-by-side migrations and inplace upgrades
• Is aware of the considerations when moving from legacy to modern database technologies and will raise these during upgrade discussion:
• Password cipher algorithms
• Connection string changes, etc.
