Oracle DBA

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software.
• Create and maintain all database objects including schemas, tables, views, indexes, triggers, etc.
• Monitor database performance and perform tuning activities for optimization.
• Manage database backups and recovery using RMAN and other tools.
• Ensure database security, integrity, stability, and system availability.
• Plan and execute database migrations, patching, and upgrades.
• Implement and enforce database policies and standards.
• Work with developers to optimize SQL queries and application/database interactions.
• Automate regular tasks using shell scripting or PL/SQL.
• Participate in on-call support rotation and respond to database incidents as needed.
• Document database environments and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle 12c/18c/19c architecture and features.
• Proficiency with Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, OEM, and ASM.
• Experience with performance tuning (AWR, ADDM, SQL tuning).
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux and shell scripting.
• Good understanding of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) options.
• Experience with Oracle RAC and GoldenGate is a plus.
• Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) are desirable.
