Security Operations

• Ensure robust security arrangements across the Plant, TPP (Thermal Power Plant), Mines, and Township to protect unit assets and employees
• Conduct daily verification of security manpower deployment at all key locations
• Prepare and maintain shift schedules for security personnel
• Submit security agency bills in a timely manner
• Implement proactive measures to prevent fire incidents inside the plant
• Conduct regular fire-fighting drills including mock drills, wet drills, and other exercises
• Train security staff in line with the Unit Disaster Management Plan
• Ensure proper upkeep and regular demonstration of Fire Fighting Equipment

Guard Management

• Monitor proper attendance of all security guards
• Maintain discipline and work ethics among security personnel
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of security barracks
• Provide detailed orientation to new guards regarding the geography and layout of the plant
• Organize periodic training sessions through the contracted security agency
• Monitor timely ESI/PF payments by the security agency to all guards

Liaison & Coordination

• Build and maintain effective relationships with government officials to ensure smooth functioning of plant and township operations
• Coordinate regularly with local police to uphold law and order
• Engage with local village elders and opinion makers to foster goodwill
• Identify and monitor key individuals in the surrounding communities

Intelligence & Vigilance

• Gather and monitor intelligence within the plant premises and surrounding areas
• Keep a constant watch on worker behavior and identify any potential disturbances
• Oversee the implementation and adherence to Night Vigilance Duty (NVD), CCTV monitoring, and MIS reporting
• Collaborate with Emergency Response (ER) Teams during emergencies in plant and mines
• Maintain vigilant oversight of labor hut areas and report suspicious activities
