Node JS developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize server-side components and APIs using Node.js.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA to deliver robust features.
• Design and implement database schemas, queries, and migrations (SQL or NoSQL).
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and security best practices.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in peer code reviews.
• Integrate third-party APIs, cloud services, and tools as needed.
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams, attend sprint ceremonies, and contribute to planning and estimations.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code reliability.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in backend development using Node.js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and Node.js ecosystem (Express.js, NestJS, etc.).
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with databases: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Good understanding of version control tools like Git.
• Experience with npm/yarn, Webpack, or Babel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with TypeScript in Node.js projects.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Knowledge of GraphQL, WebSockets, or serverless architectures is a plus.
