Network Engineering

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Vocational / Non-Vocational Qualification in IT systems or network management (preferred).

Specialist Knowledge & Technical Skills:

• Monitoring Tools & Principles – experience with observability and network performance monitoring systems.
• Network Fault & Performance Management – troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and optimization.
• Operating Systems: Linux / Unix (any flavor).
• Databases: MySQL, PL/SQL, or equivalent.
• Programming & Scripting: Python, PHP, Java, Shell scripting (strong hands-on experience).
• Network Protocols: TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, Netconf, SNMP, gRPC.
• Telemetry & Observability: OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch.
• Automation & DevOps Tools: CI/CD, Terraform, Concourse, Ansible, Git.
• Network Automation & Data Transformation Tools.
• APIs: REST APIs integration and development.
• Machine Learning and AIOps for network optimization and predictive insights.
• Cloud Services: Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Domain Expertise: Network Engineering, OSS (Operations Support Systems).
