Network Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and support network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime.
• Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patching of network devices.
• Implement and enforce network security policies, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
• Manage IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and subnet configurations.
• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for network-related issues.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and change logs.
• Assist in disaster recovery planning and network backups.
• Work with vendors and service providers for hardware, connectivity, and support.
• Stay current on new technologies and make recommendations for upgrades or improvements.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–5 years of experience as a Network Administrator or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, or similar network equipment.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and routing/switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
• Familiarity with firewall administration, IDS/IPS systems, and Wi-Fi networks.
• Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Nagios.
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.

Desirable Skills and Certifications:

• Certifications such as:
• CCNA, CCNP, Network+, CompTIA Security+, or Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS
• Basic scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with VoIP and unified communication platforms.
