Murex

Technical Skills:  

Working experience of supporting applications in

•  Extensive hands-on experience with the Murex GUI, back-end infrastructure, Murex services, Workflow (pre-trade and post-trade), and batch structure are essential.
• Knowledge of trade, deliverable and event life cycles in Murex.
• Extensive experience with some version of UNIX. Linux preferred but not essential
• Knowledge of clusters is highly desirable
• Database experience – Sybase ideal but other DB types are acceptable.
• Ability to troubleshoot and think 'outside the box' to resolve rarely seen problems
•  Familiarity with the functions and structures of XSL, XML, FIX, MXML
• Ability to read code is essential. Perl and shell scripts are used extensively in the customized Murex environment, as well as a small amount of Java. Being able to modify existing code or writing your own code is desirable
•    Proven track record of delivering to financial institutions.
