Job Description
- Manage customer accounts by tracking statuses, reporting outstanding balances, and prioritizing collection activities
- Pursue overdue accounts through demand letters and outbound calls
- Ensure compliance with credit and collections regulations and apply industry best practices
- Build and manage billing and collection processes for complex user agreements and new business models
- Collaborate across internal teams (e.g., Commerce Systems, Legal, Sales Ops, Tax, Engineering, Accounting) to adapt to commercial changes and business needs
- Partner with account managers to resolve invoice, tax, and billing disputes
- Act as a customer advocate, relaying feedback to Product, Engineering, Legal, and Support teams to enhance Stripe's user experience
- Drive process improvements for smoother, more efficient AR and collections operations
- Who You Are:
- An experienced client-facing professional with strong AR and billing skills, combined with technical and analytical aptitude to drive operational excellence.
- Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years of client-facing experience, ideally in AR Collections, Customer Success, Account Management, or Consulting
- Strong record in leading technical discussions and influencing decisions
- Ability to focus on details while seeing the broader financial impact
- Proficient analytical and data-navigation skills, collaborating effectively for resolution
- Experience in process-oriented roles, with strong time management
- Able to work cross-functionally with diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Adaptable and proactive mindset to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced settings
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Skilled at analyzing processes and data to assess customer and financial impacts
- Proficient in SQL and GSheets, especially with large datasets
- Experience or understanding of the payments industry
